The bells! The bells!
Used to be a good group..
The bells! The bells!
Not any more alf, they have contracts for 50 prisons and are the main company in HS2, which means plenty of MP's getting pay dirt, let them go to the dogs, Carillon have people in place to manage the company, they have made a bollox of it so should not be bailed out, and it should be a lesson for others, but with MP's and money men involved it will probably be propped up by the taxpayer for the benefit of the rich and privileged
Yes,it will be another case of them looking after their own at the expense of us taxpayers..
If it goes to the wall so will lots of smaller companies supplying or contracted by it who are owed money and there will be halts to all building work. So it’s a potential lose-lose choice for Government.
Now banks
Why did Bradford and Bingley go to wall - it was actually fairly sound, but Gordon Brown decided over a weekend when his chancellor was in the USA that it had to go but bailed out some others in much worse situations. Supposedly they were too big to go bust. As a B&B investor there has never been any explanation for the decision. It just disappeared without trace into Santander, who went on to make a nice profit at our expense.
They took over the porting and cleaning at our hospital and it was a ****ing disaster, there was even questions brought up in Parliament about it,you can't put peoples health out to the lowest bidder, they won a five year contract and left with 'mutual agreement' after two,we had protests outside the hospital it was that bad, they knew absolutely nothing about hospitals and should have stuck to motorway building
I'd still let it go Colner, yes smaller companies would be hit but all of the work would go to other construction companies.
Over £600 Million of pension money and sundries disappeared ? I wouldn't even think for one second of bailing them out at the cost to the taxpayer, teach them and all the rest a lesson.
