It’s interesting to read of the split opinions about the club providing ‘clappers’ for today’s match.
I don’t really know what a clapper is ? But in my early schoolboy days (early 1960s) I, and other lads would have rattles.
I think they were became prohibited in the violent days, as being considered a potential weapon.
Anything that helps the baggies will do for me. I shall have my clapper with we therefore. (And “she who must be obeyed”)
My mate borrowed his Dad's old rattle for a laugh when we went to Chelsea 1969, 6th Round. After the match us 2 were surrounded by 4 Chelsea skins. The one was trying to show off his new kung fu skills, to which my mate went CLUNK with his rattle on top of the poseur's bonce. We ran away laughing our bo llux off as the yob on the floor was going: "Oooh - my - facking - head." HaHaHa

If you get a Clapper today stick it up John Williams' arse. How low can Williams go if he thinks us fans are as pathetic as the saft Leicester fans! I feel insulted he thinks we're so childish.
Glad I'm not there. I like to have a nap during the match.
Well...I now know what a clapper is. They worked inasmuch as they increased the volume. Didn’t use mine....I prefer to make my own noises (!)
Collected an extra 2 thrown away to send overseas to the grandkids.
Generous grandad me :-)
What’s not smile about 2-0
I have to say i hate clappers and having been to Leicester quite a few times i thought they were pointless because that's all you hear but even though i didn't use mine i thought they added to the atmosphere today because there was singing as well, i hope they won't become a permanent thing but i guess after today we will keep them until the end of the season.
It was only a matter or time before we saw the clappers at the match. The new owner said when he took over that they wanted to introduce some new things (based on Leicester). This to me meant clappers and free beer. We've had the free beer (well some did, I couldn't be bothered to turn up early and queue). Today saw the clappers. For me they are for children, women and perhaps pensioners. We all have hands and voices so best to use those which I did.
Great result today. Hopefully they won't give us any more clappers.

If it creates the same atmosphere as today then keep them. By the way, dont mock pensioners, we all get there some time!
