    MillersMad Matchthread - Oldham v The Millers

    Frexit

    Well matchday has come round again and we're all ready to play without the most influentual player that has played for The Millers during our time at NYS. In fact he is the last surviving member of the team that gave the club promotion into the Championship thus giving Rotherham United a regular home attendance of over 7000 Millers week in week out.

    It will be interesting to see if we slip back to the mondain, effortless, tiresome, boring and frustrating period we had before the run started that has given Paul Warne his Manager of the month award. This time coincided with the inclusion of Frecklington and the upturn in our form.

    I'm happy to have been able to watch this Rotherham United legend play and he will be spoke of and measured against for years to come. He has left a great hole at Rotherham United that will take a long time to fill.

    The long road that this club has come down with Tony Steward has started a new chapter. From him takeing over from ordinary guys just trying their best to keep the club a float to sticking two fingures up to the Boothes. He took us out of Millmoor to the Don Valley stadium and then into the NYS which has given him legend status as well.
    He gave Evans tha licence to get promotion after managers before him had failed and gave him the means to do it. He built a team, a spirit and an vibe arround the place that got people interested in becoming supporters again.

    He has taken the decision to finish that era by removing from the squad the last man standing! Frecklington was the last man standing between this new team and the dreams that have been what they acheived. That era is sadly over!

    Here is the team that starts the new era! Good luck lads you have a mammoth task ahead of you!!

    Rodak;
    Emmanuel,
    Ajayi,
    Wood,
    Mattock;
    Forde,
    Towell,
    Vaulks,
    Williams;
    Ball,
    Yates.

    Aha, so they've found where Price has been tucked away. He must have been getting close to being crowned World Hide and Seek Champion.
    Nice to see a few options on the subs bench and I wonder if this will be the last time JCH is named in our squad?

    Yates? JCH isn't one of Warney's boys. See whose right. Wiles not on the bench. Baffled.

    Astounded he hasn’t started with JCH the way he applied himself when he came on as sub in our last game.

    Speaks bucket loads how Warne favours Yates over JCH and let’s hope it doesn’t come back to bite him on the arse.

    Great intro today Frog, agree with it all, but time to move on. By the way Frecks makes the starting line up for the imps. Lol

    Be great to continue the good start to the year as we finished the last one and get a positive result today.

    Over 1000 millers cheering them on, come on you reds

    Wiles in place of Newell. Can't believe Yates is in.

    Someone has posted on twitter an official RUFC photo of the new player Smiths shirt.

    It is the exact same shirt as Moores shirt, in the exact same place with exactly the same things around. In fact they have photoshopped Smiths name where Moores used to be!

    Wow, wood clears off the line, Oldham miss a sitter after Pingle robs Towell and sets up a Oldham attack.
