Gayle is simply not good enough but it goes beyond that, for me. His body language was shocking today. I suppose you could argue it's cos he knew he was having a shocker but his head was down and his shoulders were hunched. He is not a happy man.

He has been like that for a while imo.

Aye, he has. There's no conviction in his play at all. Takes far too long to make his mind up and his shooting has been extremely weak as has his decision making.

BIG BIG chance missed today - tough matches ahead now and there are signs of real frustration.

Jonjo looked unimpressed at being subbed.

Gayle looked like he couldn't wait to be subbed.

Rafa's looking at his bench and thinking what the hell do I do with this lot.

It all comes down to getting a decent striker. If we get one, even on loan, then we will be OK. But our top scorer on 4 goals - and some right scuffers in his 4 - we will be in trouble.

I agree - when you look at the fixtures to come, we lost a big 2 points today. If we don´t sign at least a striker then I fear the worst.

He's not exactly a warrior is he.

Twinge, niggle sore toe and he's off. I would not fancy having to rely on him to save us!

Gotta agree. 2 points lost there. Should've been out of site by half time. It wouldn't be Newcastle if it was easy peasy. Soooooooooooooo frustrating....... Sorry HughieG but Diame is utter utter **** and i can't believe he is pulling a wage for the **** that he displays week in week out.

    Agreed Billy.

We should of been home and dry by HT, any half decent striker would of put them away.

Gayle looks like he wants to retreat back to the championship to my mind.

Probably wants to head back to London and it shows.

He'll be off if a replacement can be found - Fulham pushing for the playoffs - they'd pay a few quid for him.
