    A quality forward = Survival.

After what I witnessed today I think our season depends on one big thing, replace Rondon with a proper centre forward.

I'd sacrifice Evans if it meant we could get Batsuyia from Chelsea or at a lower level Troy Deeney.

We have to find someone who can get 8-10 goals in the last 15 games.

Unfortunately, for all of his good hold up play, Rondon is just not a natural goalscorer. If we are going to survive this season we must have a striker who can put the ball in the net when the opportunities arrive. I am afraid that Rondon doesnt inspire me with any confidence when given a goalscoring opportunity.

You have hit the nail right on the head and with a striker we could survive as actually enjoyed the football today. Rondon to his credit worked hard but again can't convert chances. Thought Hegazi, Barry and Gibbs were immense today but we need someone who can put the ball in the net!!

We can all see it , give the guy some money it's not to late don't sell Evans we need our best players add to what we have brake the rules if we have to , we played well yesterday but again as in many a game over the last couple of seasons it's took the defenders to bring the points home , come on board put some pressure on the owner because if we went down at the end of the season the blame will be on your hands & we may even end up losing pardew as well.

I'd like to see a good finisher alongside Rondon, feeding off him. Neither Rodriguez nor Robson Kanu fit the bill.
There is a 50 year old playing top flight football in Japan. I wonder how fit SuperKev is...

    Spot on
I came away think the same thing. So much of our play breaks down with him. I'll add passing the ball to the long list of things he can't do. He's useless forget buying someone to play along side him. Buy someone to replace him.

I agree that we need someone who can put the ball in the back of the net on a regular basis but I thought that Rondon was excellent yesterday and what we need, as some of you have already stated, is a a goalscorer to play off him. Just think what a Defoe would do alongside him. We have to accept that he'll never be a prolific goalscorer but the rest of his play causes defences a lot of problems. It's the same old story, we all have differing opinions.

Agree does a lot unselfish work & takes a lot of stick & that type of player will never grab the headlines , but as a regular goal scorer he never will be , after saying that I thought he was outstanding yesterday ,

He was up there as man of the match to me yesterday, maybe Dawson just gets my vote though! I reckon he is finally building his shattered confidence back up from the dark age days of pulis, we need a number 10 in the side and a goal poacher and I really do think we can survive!!

The problem is hlc is when the good one gets shut out of the game the other one needs to score goals...we could end up a one trick pony.
