Thread: The bench

    The bench

Is poor as f uck, probably the poorest bench i've ever seen in a United team.

Rumours the brutal left back is away back to watford so we need to re-use that money for a creative midfielder/winger

Think we really need to use the 'emergency loan' rule too.

If we don't add to the squad we won't win this league, its make or break time unfortunately

Its scary - either trust the youth and throw them in or get what we all know is still missing.

Not one game changer available off the bench, shows how bad it is when Paul Quinn’s you’re only option!

Its been like that for most of the season and that is partly due to the number of players recruited, then the number of injuries that a team gets through a season!

Of those on the bench, Ballantyne should be getting a game and i dont see why Quinn was on ahead of Allardice, Smith and Chalmers. Has our youth setup been that bad that Shabba thinks these guys will never be good enough?

"Development Squad" is a lot of crap. Get back to the old reserve league where promising youngsters are pitched in with good seasoned pros. What good has come out from the Development Squad? Also reserve games should be played at the Deech like the old days. Managed fine back in the day, so dinnae give me any excuses that Tannadice cannae cope with more than one game a fortnight.

Therein lies the problem but the powers that be are so phucking blind to the problem they will carry on with this "development" pish. I think with the old reserve league youngsters developed better and guess what it was called the reserve league although players developed in it.

Our youth setup since SC has become a joke of the highest order. What can shabba do really? He’s polished a turd so far but what else can he do with this heap of ****e we have at our club right now? I really do believe shabba could be the man to turn this club around but if he don’t go up then the club is ****ed.
