"Man flu" is not quite the same as "proper flu" map.

Remember we oldies have had lots of flu over the years so may have some resistance to it. The Spanish flu post WW1 killed mainly youngsters for the same reason.

I have had numerous heavy colds which are unpleasant enough but I had a proper dose of some horrible strain of flu about twenty years ago and I honestly thought I was a goner.

Bedridden for a week and proper rough for a month afterwards, that's why I am always first in the queue for the flu jab!

That's what I was told when I had mine OC, yet the papers are full of panic stories about Chemists running out. But if it doesn't protect us against this Aussie strain, why the panic ?

Me and Mrs 59-60 had it just before Christmas and it was horrible. I'm still feeling the effects.

We live with my Dad (89) and my mother-in-law (93).

Thankfully, they haven't had it (yet!)

I had the flu jab, which covered the Aussie version, last week. I was only a mere 64 years old when I got the lurgi so I wasn't entitled to the jab when I got the bad cold/flu/man flu.

My Dad has never had the flu jab but he seems immune from colds etc.

As for ballet, it has always looked like pseudo ****ography to me...but the music is great. Glad you enjoyed it OC. Where was the performance?

I once sat in the front row of the stalls and was amazed how much sweat comes off them when they pirouette. 33 pirouettes by Odele in a row in this one so glad we were upstairs.
We were at the Royal Concert Hall which isn’t ideal but it worked ok. Good acoustics.
