    Cyrille Regis

Apparently has passed away from a heart attack last night.
Saw him make his debut and was an amazing player.

That goal against Man U at Old Trafford!!!

Heard it on 'Breakfast TV', absolutely astounded. I've followed the Albion since the fifties and my three favourite No. 9's in this period were Ronnie Allen, Jeff Astle and Cyrille Regis. He'll always be remembered with great affection as an all time Albion great. RIP.

Awful news. I was there for his debut in the League Cup against Rotherham. He scored one & we were 3-0 up late on and they let him take a penalty. I said to my mate that although he got 2 I wasn't too impressed and it was only Rotherham. How wrong can you be. The best £5000 Albion ever spent. For a few years he was unstoppable. I remember the look of terror on Kenny Burns's face when Cyrille grabbed him by the throat. RIP King Cyrille and thanks for some great memories.

News just sinking in. I have never seen a centre forward like him and probably never will. Immensely strong, fearsome shot, strong in the air and so very very quick. He was fearsome and I was so upset when Albion let him go. And he seemed such a very pleasant person. Thanks for all the great memories Cyrille. RIP
