Kingdom of Heaven with Orlando Bloom. Wasn't that keen first time I saw it but was one of them films that grow on you.

watched last night, by way of trialling a Sony U-matic video player I was considering buying:

'The Mad Trapper' (the 1971 BBC version)

This is the true story of the 1931/2 pursuit and eventual killing of mysterious loner Albert Johnson across the snowy wastes of Canada by The Mounties, native canadian tribes, spotter planes etc

Well worth searching out this version or other, more fictionalised, versions made over the decades, and the story is crying out for some smart film-maker to do a 21st century remake, which I think would be a smash

No I'm not buying the VCR
