I honestly don't know to be fair Leicester mate , I remember him saying one time it may have been £12 week & I'm pretty sure he received £30 for England , I have no idear what they got for winning the FA Cup in 1954 sorry I don't know I feel ashamed I should know .

All I can tell you is neither would have earned much by today’s salaries. I found my old payslip from 1972 when I went to NZ to live. Weekly salary was £18 for a 40 hour week at aged 20 and that was about the norm then so salaries would have been a bit less than that in 1954.
