    It doesn't matter what any of us think the club is worth.
    The money in football has gone to new silly heights and Ashley is entitled to value the club how he sees fit, regardless of who thinks otherwise.

    If nobody wants to pay it then they slip away into the distance as nothing more than tyre kicking time wasters.

    Is he not trying to get back the money he loaned the club in the Championship.I don't know about the second relegation but did he not lend £50 million during the first.

    He's added debt through his relegations, but that will be added to his asking price. Some one will have to cough up more than £300 million if they want it IMO.

    but the tv deals are a lot more lucrative these days in comparison and soon to be even better

    Yes, and all that money goes to players/wages and their agents. Anyone buying the club will have to hand over most of that 'lucrative' TV deal to them.
