Just read that the former Rotherham striker has sadly passed away .
Older posters will remember Rod playing up front with Ronnie Moore in those titanic battles we had with The Millers in the early 80's .
RIP Rod , yes we were arch rivals but you were a very clever and classy player who always caused us massive problems .

What great days they were , Barnsley and The Millers going head to head in the early 80's , no quarter asked or given .
Rod played his part in those clashes and it's the greatest accolade to have our supporters make up a song about you , we didn't waste our time on the poor opposition players .
