Despite the asinine replies from the usual suspects, Connolly from his spell at us would definitely improve us, he had some good performances for us against better opposition than we play now (Hibs away in cup 3-3, Motherwell away twice etc) and scored a few goals, can play behind striker or wide, we need someone in that mold now Fraser is out and we won't get Swanson

He is someone along with the likes of butcher and watson who should never have been allowed to leave, which only compounded the loss of gms/stretch

You can add the loss of likes of fojut and even Morris along with not having a decent keeper replaced.

I agree I thought Watson was decent for us - his career since hasn’t been great but we should have been nurturing the talents at united - it never happens though

We went in to sackie’s last season with Zwick in goal and that cost us - particularly the last minute equaliser v the fun

IIRC was it not Connolly who won a pen v Cellik at the Shed end with direct running at their defenders. Whether he'd improve the squad though i have no scooby
