    Everton's total wage bill is two and a half times bigger than ours, so whatever the individual figures, on average Everton are paying their players two and a half times as much as we are, which was why Keane left. There's no doubt Lennon will be taking a huge cut in wages if he signs for us.

    Aaron Lennon’s proposed move from Everton to Burnley is being held up by complications regarding his contract, according to The Mirror.

    The Mirror reported in their live transfer blog at 2.13pm on Monday that there are two issues which need to be resolved before he can undergo a medical and the deal can be finalised.

    Lennon has agreed his wage package at Turf Moor after Burnley settled on a nominal fee with Everton for the 30-year-old winger
