    Hartlepool

Been a crowd funding page set up to raise a certain amount of money or they face administration .

Home sell out at tomorrow’s game by fans from other clubs to help save them.

    That’s football life

    Good luck Hartlepool

Sad to see them out of the football league , always hard work up there for Hartlepool and Darlo competing with Newcastle , Sunderland and Boro .

Hope both clubs can rise again but it's getting more difficult for these clubs to compete in the present football climate .

    I wish them well .

I read somewhere that Sky sport's Jeff Stelling was going to pump some money into save the club he supports.

Apparently they need to raise £200k by next Thursday to avoid going into administration. The crowd funding page has so far raised about £50k which includes £2.5k contributed by Danny Graham.
They didn't have a training kit to warm up in prior to a game last week because the laundry bill hadn't been paid.
Some all too familiar echoes here and it doesn't look good for the Monkey Hangers.
Just another example of the gross inequality in football where several Premier League players earn more in a week than Hartlepool need to simply stay in existence.

This is the sort of thing that happens when football clubs live beyond their means.

Most football clubs live beyond their means. This is the sort of thing that happens when the chairman pulls the plug.

Chester , Wrexham , Halifax , Leyton Orient , Hartlepool , Torquay , Tranmere and Darlington were all solid lower league clubs at one time , two or three of the above have competed very well at 2nd tier level not too long back .

Leyton Orient as I'm sure you know were within a whisker of Championship football 4 years ago .

It highlights the precarious nature of football today and especially small town provincial clubs , neither of our clubs are immune to meeting the same fate .

Tranmere Rovers made the final of the League Cup in the late 90's and finished in the championship play off places a number of times in the early to mid 90's .

These are very good clubs with solid histories .

We all moan and groan at our present positions , these clubs would swap places with us gladly .

    Food for thought indeed .
