If so I remember the father of a player said that he left Donny because the club kept on playing him in midfield to get the best for the team. He thought that leaving there would allow him to develop as a forrud. Maybe the people of Donny were right and maybe what you say is right.
I think with the right training and attitude he could play there.

If your right then he may ruin his career by not playing to his strength.

Remember Danny ward played on wing in midfield before he became a striker maybe Yates needs to realise he needs to drop back for experience.

Miller's fans expect Yates to score a few goals and rightly so,but I like Warnies idea of giving him game time to gain valuable experience,he certainly puts the effort in and does have some nice touches the goals will come patience is the key,he has the skill and ability,just needs a bit of luck.

To be fair to Yates he doesn't get himself in scoring positions because hes always all over the pitch showing for the ball often taking him away from goal. This is true for Ball to a lesser extent. Think both would be better playing off a big lad ie Smith when they wont have to forage so much for the ball and can play off him getting in decent scoring positions..

He could play for Donny in midfield but doubt it. Yr flogging a dead horse. Yates will be none league next season.

First half our midfield looked over run, neither vaulks or towell are capable of breaking up play. They both want to fall back and play a 50 yard ball, which usually means giving away possession, when a short pass would suffice.

cant take it away from portsmouth. they over ran us in the first half especially in the middle. there number 22 looked a decent player. deff a game of two halves
