    Wolves fly to Spain

It appears that Wolves first team squad are flying to Spain tonight for a weeks warm weather training before the Ipswich game.. I think some were on the plane at three pm today.

Hopefully it will help recharge the players batteries and help them to get ready for a difficult trip to Portman Road next Saturday. It's a long season and Wolves will need all the players to be on top form for the rest of the season during the promotion push.

You never want to use the excuse of being tired for a bit of bad form but it can be a reason I suppose.

Successful team = unchanged side and games in the Championship can be played at a ridiculous pace and ferocity.

Not making any excuses but tiredness could play a factor, especially if a good few of your players are used to playing at a leisurely tempo with the Mediterranean sun on their backs
Last time we lost a league game we went on an incredible run which ended today.

Time to regroup and go on another one.

One thing we haven’t considered too much regarding the squad is how many matches they’ve played this season compared to seasons past.

Neves played 13 league matches last year. He’s played almost every single one for us this year. Boly - 7 v 18.

Jota, Saïss and Bonatini have already played as many matches this season as they did last year. And we’ve still got almost 20 league matches to go. Now with us out of the cup and some international breaks in the next few months, I think we will be fine. But it’s something to think about after the fixture crunch during December and early January
