    Pardew.

I backed Pulis to the hilt but accepted he needed to go in the end, I think he drove a juganaut up a cul-de-sac with his style of play and couldn't get out.
I always thought Pardew would end up here one day, as I did Hodgson. Iv never been keen on him in the past but I have to admit I've taken to him. I think he says it how it is, plus I imagine people will allow him a certain amount of sympathy for now given that he inherited a mess.

The main thing is, he's got us playing better, that's all we ever wanted, just a few wins now please Al!

To different kind of managers pulls is like the same record over & over again with his tactics & match interviews , pardew a good honest type of man what I've seen of him so far & a much more forward thinking manager more pleasing to the eye + had no money to influence his inherited squad .

Pulis for sorting out defences, Pardew for the rest. Two totally different managers. I think the players let Pulis down some at the time. Everton are having that problem at the moment. Watching an interview on their channel and they recon the players havent performed for their last three managers.

Sticking 9 men across your own 18 yard line is not sorting out the defence mate. The players did not let Pulis down. He told us "We can't fault the players". He said that after every game. I think your giving him credit where it is not due
I actually think we are a better defensive unit under Pardew (don't know what the stats say) and we are certainly a better attacking unit.

    I'd rather have Gould!!!
In hindsight it was the Irvine appointment that put us in this position.

Clearly Pardew is playing the more attractive football and therefore on balance I would vote for him. Having said that, as I said at the time, I was not in favour of dismissing Pulis mid season.
Would our league position be any worse had Pulis stayed ?
