given what he`s done at Dumbarton then St Mirren , surely he could go to Sunderland for the routine 3 months . Get sacked with a Milliion quid pay-off . and then come back and take Falkirk / dundee Utd / Dunfermline /Partick Thistle / a.n. other into the SPFL " Premier " league. For fun ?

Heck, he could buy a " diddy " team and do that for fun ?

( Sevco should be available for A Poond soon enough ? !! )
    Sunderland are in free fall.
If he makes an a**e of it & gets the sack by Xmas, he’s already tarnished in England.

I know what/who you’re thinly disguised sarcasm is aimed that, but I’d say he dodged a bullet & showed good judgement by turning them down.

Ach , EVERYONE knows Sunderland is a quicksand pit.

Depends what a persons ambition s ? Taking Falkirk into Europe might be somebodies dream .

Making a million quid and never having to work again could be others.

The fact that both ambitions could be mutual f you took the Sunderland job for 3 months might just swing it ?

Face it, the English Press exposure you`d get in the other North East , say the right things while down there , and your Stock could go up. !!

Not that I`m saying Jack Ross would do any of this . But Mason`ll know ?!!

Have they got a sugar daddy? These types of no mark english clubs usually do! Strange move for Ross. Bit of financial doping here and there and they will be back in the not so greatest league ever in the world in no time at all.

I personally think Ross should have a season in the SPL before rushing into anything.

He's a highly ambitious manager who will go on to better things than St Mirren.

It’s a no brainer. The potential rewards are huge with zero risk.

It's huge risk if you are ambitious.

It’s no more of a risk than taking St Mirren into the top league. He has a bad season next year and no one will be looking at him.

Staying on at St.Mirren next season could be catastrophic for his ambitions. Sunderland might be a basket case but you’ve got to imagine a half decent manager would get them out that league. Then he’s the boy that saved Sunderland
