And now they get holiday in Spain

They play in English weather and we are in the depths of an English winter, so what do the powers that be think would be a good idea?

A WEEKS F00KING HOLIDAY IN SUNNY SPAIN, FFS!!!!!!

You couldn't make it up, you really couldn't.

Was honestly wondering about merits of this. Back to TC. I think officer Dibble would have more of a clue......

Break in sun and chance to relax may be what they need - also better conditions to train in.

works for Sarries in rugby so who knows.

The squad collectively have performed abysmally over recent weeks, and so they need a break in the sun and have a chance to relax, what are they, children?

As for training, they play here, they should train in conditions that reflect where they will play!! Send them to the outer Hebrides, Boot camp them for few days and shed some of the fat, subject to military-style discipline and routine, then see how they perform.

As for rugby players, at least they break sweat now and again, hardly what you would say about most of our 1st team performances since last year.

Its what squads do at EVERY club WTF, thought you wanted us to be like everyone else? cant have it allways, though i really think the bee in your bonnet is the fact its Murcia in Spain (dirty foreign land) rather than the Anglo-Saxon Mercia.

Totally agree. Will gladly stand corrected if performances improve on their return

Since when would have thought that I want Leeds to be "like everyone else?

My "bee" relates to the benefit to be derived. As a squad they have played 30-odd games and not every player in every game. They need to "get away" spending time to get there, time to aclimatise, time to travel back and time to get used to winter in the UK again. How much time will they actually spend training, which by God they need, out of the ten days or so, compared to doing so at Thorp Arch (or Mercia)?

Alfie, the Millwall lads won't be going to Spain, mind you there are no fancy foreigners in our team they are all British and Irish. Maybe their manager needs a break.

Personally I'd have sent them to Bundoran for a week. They'd never loose another feckin game .
