Here is the list of the remaining games minus one game as we still have the Dundee United home game to rearranged but this will definitely be midweek as Dundee United made it to the 5th round of the cup so with us losing it will gave us a free weekend on the 10th February.

Sat, 27 Jan - Brechin City (Home)
Sat, 3 Feb - St Mirren (Away)
Sat, 17 Feb - Morton (Home)
Sat, 24 Feb - Dunfermline (Home)
Tue, 27 Feb - Dundee United (Away)
Sat, 3 Mar - Falkirk (Home)
Sat, 10 Mar - Dumbarton (Away)
Sat, 17 Mar - St Mirren (Home)
Sat, 24 Mar - Livingston (Home)
Sat, 31 Mar - Dunfermline (Away)
Sat, 7 Apr - Inverness (Home)
Sat, 14 Apr - Morton (Away)
Sat, 21 Apr - Dundee United (Home)
Sat, 28 Apr - Brechin City (Away)

As you can see Queens only have 6 away games left and one of them is midweek but that leaves 9 home games which Queens must look to improve on they home form this season if we are going to make the push for the promotion play-offs and some new signings would be nice plus getting the injury players back.

Come on Queens stay positive after going out the cup and lets start the run of the remaining league games with a win against Brechin who have yet to win in the league yet.

    Here’s another scenario QOS_KING

Should Falkirk win their 5th round Scottish Cup game then our league game against them will be postponed on March 3rd

They are away to Formartine United or Cove Rangers on February 10th

Good spot aloreburn as I never thought about checking the fixtures with the scottish cup dates but I have had a look at them.

    Fifth Round – Saturday, 10 February 2018
    Sixth Round – Saturday, 3 March 2018
    Semi-finals – Saturday, 14 and Sunday, 15 April 2018

So as you pointed out that we may have another free weekend on march 3rd as you would expect Falkirk to beat Formartine United or Cove Rangers but at least its a home match that would be postponed and having also looked at the semi-finals dates we have Morton away that day and with them still in the cup might be postponed as well but they would still have to win 2 games for that to happen starting with a tie against Dumbarton.

I also had a look at Dundee Utd fixtures to see who they had on March 3rd just in case they got knock out against Aberdeen but they have St Mirren who are already out just in case they were a chance to get our match against them rearranged for then but no chance of that.

Midweek games equal lower crowds and less income. Bit of a nightmare for Queens

    3rd Quarter - 29th December 2017 - 27th February 2018
    4th Quarter - 3rd March 2018 - 28th April 2018

1st Quarter the stats are straight forward as all teams played 9 games but in the 2nd only 3 teams played the 9 games in the dates what should have been the 2nd quarter but in the table I added the Dumbarton v Livingston game that was played on 26th December 2017.
The 3rd Quarter dates will more likely see most teams play more than the 9 games with Inverness & Falkirk having already played 5 games.
Have updated the 3rd quarter as today was when everyone should have played 27 games but it turns out no one has.
I have also moved Dumbarton v Livingston game (26th December) from the 2nd to the 3rd so its in the right date timeline.

So we enter the last quarter with each team needing to play more than the 9 games and us to play Dundee Utd 3 times.
    13 Games - Dundee United
    12 Games - Dumbarton & Inverness
    11 Games - Brechin, Dunfermline & Queens
10 Games - Falkirk, Livingston, Morton & St Mirren

Also if you go by 9 games played the points total for Queens is season.
    1st - 12 points
    2nd - 14 points
3rd - 9 points (7 games so 2 more games for this quarter)
