FFS not Smith, he's been retired for 7 years and last time he abandoned the Scotland job to go back to the original Rangers.

    Not McLeish either.

It's like the SFA are trying to piss the fans off.

They’ll still be able to dress up & get drunk at the rugby

Just pick the best players THAT ARE ON FORM, no need for loyalty.

Give them a ball and say "get stuck into them lads"

Can you honestly say that approach would be any less successful than what we've had lately?
DD I agree with all of that, very well put lock stock and barrel, spot on pal

Not sure what his situation is at the moment or even if he would want the job but you never know.
I would prefer Slaven Billic than the likes of Walter (the traitor) Smith. The downside being that the gimps at the SFA will insist that he has either or both former Celtic and Rangers coaches in his backroom staff to influence his team choices.

Or how about another more novel selection policy. Whoever wins the Scottish Premier League (say Celtic’s BR) gets first refusal on taking the Scotland job? If he doesn’t accept then the 2nd placed team manager (say Aberdeen’s DM) gets the chance and so on?
Maybe not...I was hoping not so long ago that Neil Lennon would get asked about the Aberdeen job when I thought Del was on his way out and when Hibs pip Sevco to 3rd place he may accept the Scotland managers position when BR and DM knock it back!

Don't worry, we'll be qualifying for everything now.

John "Yogi" Hughes has thrown his hat into the ring.
