    Not sure a player with a torn cruciate ligament and 12 months out is going to help us to be honest

    Building a squad. Too much is being made of the youngsters, those signings have no bearing on whether we sign first team players or not. It is a long term plan with those guys to develop them, they've not been signed for our promotion push and have no impact on whether we do or don't sign anyone for that promotion push.

    He is fully recovered and playing for Palace reserves - Hodgson back in December said he was chomping at the bit to play first team football - loan for rest of season would be ideal as he can do it at this level, can play and has desire.

    Would take McContract on loan till the end of the season.
