McCormack and Elphick possible double bid?

Just a rumor at the moment, (plenty of links in google).

During the summer when we were linked with McCormack, really thought it was a bad idea. However with the way the season is going and the style of football being played I am starting to think he could actually be a good signing for us again?

Elphick I don't know much about, but think the 1st team squad could do with another CB?

If this deal has any truth could this help save our season?

As you say, rumour, and with a £7m price tag on it, it's not exactly likely, no matter whether it was good or bad in player terms (note sure of either TBH)

Well at least we are being linked with both a center forward and a center half - so if there is anything in this we can all hope for a couple of signings in the last week of the window.....Given we are on telly five times in February / early March everyone will be able to judge the value of any signings against better teams.

Still think we will make the play offs come the end of the season.

14 goals in 16 Aussie games.... it's a loan deal we are being linked with Villa, but uncertainty if he can be loaned to another EFL side this season....

Perfect example of why the January window can be "bad for business". Just signing bodies to sign them.

Agree spaldy..that is why its best to get your house in order in the pre-season/Summer transfer window and avoid the inflated prices you get in this window.

Fair point on the record in Oz - especially when there were a lot of doubts raised about a player from Dubai in Hernandez when that happened, so sometimes the league they're in isn't the issue.

McCormack was a good player, but recent times suggest issues. Hope he would have lost quite a lot of weight though if he was to come back, and possibly was able to live in a house with a shorter fence....
