    A new exciting tournament!

    Has any one else seen this? Supposedly it is going to replace the "pointless" international friendlies. Surely its a product of the Daily Mail's lurid imagination. Do we really need any more of this crap!

    Unless I read it wrong, it just seems like another excuse to disrupt the domestic season.

    I think it's essentially replacing friendlies on international dates. I don't think they're adding any additional dates. I think it'll be taken as seriously as the players take it. If they are competing in matches, fans will enjoy it. Otherwise, it'll flop and it won't be part of the next cycle.
