Sadly United won't be going up this season. United have lost twice to St Mirren this season, drew with bottom league team Brechin ( who only have 4 points ) and lets not forget the 6-1 thrashing from Falkirk.

It's been a struggle for United to grind out results against Dumbarton and Inverness, never mind the 0-3 humiliation against Morton.

There are 13 league games left and St Mirren are organised, there players are up for the fight and United won't catch them - no chance.

We will make the play offs , but it will end in failure.

With only 13 games left neither the players or the manager are going to suddenly find their mojo.

Playing a lone striker and two defensive midfielders, we have stuck to this formation consistently. It worked when we had Gauld, Armstrong, GMS, Robertson and Ciftci. We don't have them or the same quality, yet we persist with this formation. Why not go back to 442. Duffy played it and came away with a 3-0 victory. What seems lost is from Jackie, Mixu, Ray & Csaba they didn't want to score goals they just wanted to keep the ball and do bugger all with it, that doesn't win you games.
