never mind the *******s - 442 or 443 from now

    lots wrong with club
    lots of injuries
    lot of sh!t players o
    lots wrong w 4231

wont change world but a start. mcd isnt a cm or no 10 imo.

seems a theme for last few years...many teams of "lesser" persuasion have made us their b!tches now. none of them play the man city/barca big boys style.

    anyone still like that?

We need to be hard to beat first and foremost. Then the rest can come.

These players don't display the guts for that though.

We need to clear out. That's the first step.

4231 is trying to be hard to beat..

yes clear out but we have been saying that for 3 years. Unfortunate we got in so many injury prone players though.

so who makes us hard to beat? willo???????

Even barca are playing a 442 variation just now. For me you should always play the formation that best suits the players you have, and considering we don’t have a no 10 that’s a pretty big flaw in playing 4231. Yet we stick with it anyway and shoehorn scott mcdonald into a position he’s never played in his life

We played what looked like a 442 from the start of the 2nd half and looked worse. Macdonald in the 1st half was playing in the no10 role and seen lots of the ball but done fk all with it and 2nd half he went up front with Mikkelson and hugged their back four.

Imo we should have subbed Macdonald at HT and moved Stanton to no10 and played Slater alongside Flood.

This is key. Unless CL can find another player who can play that role we shouldn't be playing a formation that relies on having a #10.

I’d put Quinn in the centre mid role.
His super slick movement & intelligence is perfect for there.
So surprised he chose football over astro physics or even brain surgery.

Our malaise has got nothing to do with formations.

Could be part of the solution though.
