    Carson

    Well then...who da thought it?

Celtic's £200k offer declined but every player has his price.

He is contracted with us till 2020.

What price should tempt us to sell?

Going by the way Cellik price their players minimum we should ask for is a million plus huge sell on clause. Selling Carson at this stage of the season would greatly affect the team with no guarantee of finding a suitable replacement in the time left in transfer window. Carson has brought stability to your defence and back four have confidence in him why change that just to weaken the team. If Carson wants first team football, he is guaranteed thatwith us compared to sitting on the bench at Parkhead.

We should tell them to do one, as Carson has a fair bit to go on his contract. If they want to offer £1million + then fine but otherwise tell them to bolt.

    Here's Robinson's thoughts about Celic's offer..

I'm very confident we won't sell him. Not so much because of the money but, as the club showed with Moult we're not going to be pushed over any more, the time. As Robinson said it would be the nightmare scenario - Griffiths is nowhere near Carson's level and while Carson is not a difference-maker like Moult, he isn't a million miles away either. he's certainly the difference between midtable and a relegation fight, a potential cup run or out in three weeks.

Of course if Celtic come back with a ridiculous bid - seven figures and a 50% sell-on clause - we'll pack his bags for him...but the fact they opened with such a pathetic offer makes me doubt they're really serious about getting him.

Going by the moronic responses on Ra Sellik's fan sites he'd be a mug to go anywhere near that honking midden!

Seems we have knocked back an increased bid (£375k). Reports from Hartlepool suggest they have a huge sell-on clause in place, possibly 40%. We use a big chunk of the net transfer income to pay off the debt so I can't see us selling.
