And at a standard he is able to hopefully deliver at - even if he didn't really when at Bradford or Chesterfield. Interestingly, he is cup tied.

I don't get all the love for Bennett, he looked good, was a great story playing for us so young, being local and all that, but has simply not pushed on to be able to thought of as a Championship player. I'd love for it to have worked out for him here but it hasn't, so time to forge his career elsewhere.

Would have liked some goalkeeping cover, hope that doesn’t come back to bite us, but overall...a decent window I think. One for the future, a couple of potentially very good signings and the end of the Russell/Martin era. The former tried but usually disappointed, the latter had become an expensive liability, but...if he goes to Reading and starts scoring we’ll get a decent price in the summer. Good business imo.
