Which dross? Hodge, Saunders probably signed so AH and Fletcher can rub shoulders with their dads in the boardroom, don't think they will ever play in the first team. Hodge at Alfreton now? Walker made no impression what so ever this season, so yes probably in the dross category.

Hodge and Saunders were 21 when they signed for us - same age as Hewitt was when he signed. We had a lack of players in that 20-22 age bracket but now we have 3 (excluding loanees), with Husin probably the most promising.
It might be that the other 2 never make the grade, but to write off young players who are still developing as "dross" is harsh imo.
