Peter, please accept my sympathies. When you are lying in the 's**t, you are hoping someone will pull you out, not looking around to see who is in it with you, in order to gain some comfort. We are further down the decline than you are, but it appears you are trying very hard to join us. Exactly why, I don't know? Could it be the possibilitiy of 4 city derbies next year and maybe a bonus 5th in the Fizzy. That would be interesting. Do you extend your lead to 3-1 in Fizzy Can wins or do we catch you up?

There is also the possibility of a home and away 'up - down' derby at the end of the season. You only have to go back to the beginning of this season to see how these strange things can work out.

Time for me to have a lie down I think?

Plenty of ups and downs for both teams before this season ends with any outcome from us going straight down to your lot not making play offs still a possibility...but whatever happens we'll go through it again next season whether it be in the same league or not.

Due to our self destruction, the city is stuck with that wee outfit as it's representative in the top flight, annually cemented in the button few with sub 5k home fans most home games tae

Well done the Staggies though, pleasing

Let's be fair here. For many years Dundee were the Big Team in the city and The Shed were the Wee Team. However things changed with United achieving great things during a long barren spell for Dundee FC. Deservedly a role reversal occurred with The Shed become the Big Team in the city and Dundee FC becoming the Wee Team. Over the last three years United have plunged away from cup finals and high positions in the Premier League to a pitiful state below the status of a bottom of the Premier League struggling Dundee side. The Dees have achieved absolutely nothing which would deserve the Big Team status reverting back to them. They are still the Wee Team. However, we have well and truly lost our Big Team status and are now the 'Wee'er Team' in the city. Dundee are still the Wee Team but we are the Wee'er Team. Big Team status has to be earned. The position lies vacant at this time.
