There is no 'big team' in the city. There are two mediocre teams based in the city, Time to stop living on past reputations. The reality is that the city is a backwater as far as professional football is concerned. Endless debate on which team is least mediocre is hardly inspiring.

Basically the City's teams are representative of what is happening with Scottish football in general. Not only will Scottish teams never again (with the exception of the Old Firm) make any progress in Europe, the whole system is now weighted against them. Teams like Aberdeen and DUFC are no longer wanted in the European arena, apart from being tolerated as early round cannon fodder. Survival rather than competition is now the name of the game up here.

Averaging just over 6k ("officially") in the top flight is pish, especially with over 15k away fans taken into account between the visits of Celtic, Sevco, Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs and Farmers

A top flight United would never see a lower average than the low 7000's and more often than not in the 7500-8500 region

Canna believe you’re still bumping on about crowds ,
    Can I ask you a question ?
How many points do you get for big crowds also what league do you get into for big mega tango crowds with amazing flag displays

The same amount of points you get for being awarded the most corners in a game..

That's two chief trophy virgins that couldn't stop themselves replying to my post

It's what their own fans are saying when not chatting about Utd, worrying times when that's all they can pull for a couple years now in the top flight... Only turn out for one fixture and that's v DUFC, when we ain't on the fixture list, they can't even pull 5k when the more appealing fixtures come round, pleasing indeed

It's not the team hovering around the 6000 average mark in the top flight despite 15k+ away fans through the gates from the bigger sides and counting season ticket holders who don't turn up
