Thread: Picking the bones out of that.

Picking the bones out of that.

    Barry's worst game for Albion.
    Nyom awful.
    McAuley dodgy.
McClean should be saved for next season. May do okay in the Championship.
    Sturridge picked the wrong club!
Burke's best performance so far. Mind you he had done nothing before today.
Missed the Pole today. Been very good since Pardew took over.
    Missed Gibbs also.
We had 2 decent penalty shouts.
Phillips started well, then got worse and worse and worse.
    Survival looks very unlikely.

Spot on Chris. Badley missed Evans, Gibbs and Krycowiak. Plenty of effort just lacked quality. Nyom has been poor all season. GMac has been a great servant but his best days are well behind him. Surprised JRod was left out of the starting line up. Its not over yet but the fat lady is warming up.

The few touches Sturridge had showed him to be a player with a skills set better than anyone we have had up front since Odemwingie. Can't honestly say that anyone else showed any glimpse of class yesterday and as I said on another thread, the vast majority of our squad are Championship standard at very best.

If Sturridge is worth 120,000 a week Brunty is worth half a million.

Bottom line, too many influential players missing yesterday!

Yes that probably is the reason, but if we have them same players out long-term our team is going to be desperate our second string player or even our subs are second rate well most of them ,

Dont understand the Mcauley writing off in a few comments I've seen. He's still a top defender but hasnt had much match play, considering that he has still stopped the scores getting any worse with some good clearances. Without the match play however thats where your age can count. You have to keep it up.
