    Beaten by the better side...

    Sadly and disappointingly!
What has happened to Yacob ? Maybe his worst performance? Was he expecting a transfer out during the recent window ? He was invisible.
Strange starting line up as mentioned by mickd and clearly some injury issues.
Having said all that...we were not the more hungry side and apart from the initial few minutes and a panic effort towards the end, we were outplayed.
Come on guys show some spirit.

We were second best most of the time .

Good points well made Prando, but I think that we are now beyond hoping that showing spirit is going to keep us up. Our lot do not look up for a fight and simply rely on pumping the ball into the box hoping for an end result. We have been worked out long ago and we have failed to beat the teams around us. Albion's PL future certainly looks very bleak from where I'm watching!

Totally agree that Saints were good value for their win. It shows the value of a skillful pacey playmaker in the middle of the park. I thought Lemina was brilliant and made our midfielders look like carthorses.

I just wish that we hadnt opted for the paceless defensive midfielders that we inherited over the last couple of years. We needed someone to beat people and create things from the middle of the park.

I agree but many still blame Pulis even now. Pardew/The Board could have brought in replacements last week - but they did not! They brought in another huge gamble in the way of a loan who may or may not be fit or stay injury free! Pardew opted for Rondon who works hard but does not know how to put the ball in the net unless it hits his body! Why the feck did Jay not play as he was brilliant against Liverpool? Why did Field not play with the Pole out to have fresh legs and a bit of creativity?

Pardew blamed tired legs against Man City. Why the feck did he not play the reserves with Saints being so crucial? Who gives a flying **** about the FA Cup - play the reserves and keep the best 11 fresh and injury free for the important league games!!!!

Are we going backwards or forwards. Well the football is a tad nicer but we are going down as it's all about points on the table and other teams are getting them!

I am not convinced with Pardew and was not from day one, and nobody seems to blame the Board - but where were the Board in the January window? We have taken an injured croc as a gamble but no doubt the wages will be less than the fee banked for a promising youngster whose fee could rise to 4 million!!!!! West Brom will get what they sow and that's due to the lack of ambition - Year in Year out regardless of the Manager!

Shame on the Board and you can't even stump up the balance to pay for Cyrille's statue.....

PS - for those who would rather progress in the FA Cup than go to Barnsley on a wet Tuesday night - well what a stupid think to say as Wembley is a shambles of the proud old stadium it once was!!!

At least in the championship we play nearly twice a week something to do or listen to on a cold dark nite , on a serious note AL you make a good point about the club they did have the opportunity to change things , as it is now we will struggle to stay up , i would love to say if we go down to the owner & board you deserve relegation for the lack of investment , who would buy us or any club for two hundred million & not invest in it , as long as i live i cant work that one out . They say you reap what you sow .

It's not so much the going to Wembley, it's winning the cup that counts. After that we could enjoy a promotion season and lift the Europa league cup the same season.
