    Chin up lads...

We've taken a battering tonight and it hurts more because it was on telly for the world to see. But none of us support Notts because of the glory. And one game does not a undo a really good season. These lads have put in a shift all season, so when they run out at the weekend they deserve our unflinching support.

Our away support was awesome tonight too. I had a wheelbarrow...

I don't think the scoreline matters - when you're out, you're out. There's no goal difference in Cup comps
We could well go and thump Barnet for a few, take it out on them

The manner of the hammering does though.

It's not about whether supporters can forget it. Can the players? They must be traumatised.

You don't forget a 8-1 stuffing easily, just as you don't forget 8-1 victories in the past.

It does. It would all be worth it if we only learn something about who is and isn't good enough. There were some glaring weaknesses: obviously Virtue (is Hewitt injured?) and also Dickinson. Hawkridge looks a non-league player, Collin's confidence will be shot to pieces and Duffy could do with a rest. So hopefully in come Fitzsimons (who can now be forgiven), Jones, Ben Hall, Hewitt and Bennett.
