But you HAVEN'T dealt with my posts about player responsibility!
Of course managers are responsible for the overall pattern, and they rightly carry the can in the long run.
But you can't seem to get it into your head that once a game has started, the subsequent events are only marginally down to what was said in advance.
When I was playing, if I missed a tackle, and that led to a goal, I didn't say, "Manager's fault. I wouldn't have missed that tackle if he'd told us to play 4-4-2 instead of 4-3-3."
There's a huge amount of talk about a "negative mindset", but we actually played a MORE defensive line-up in the HOME victory against Shrewsbury than we did in the AWAY defeat to Plymouth.
Mowbray is quite cautious. Yes - that may be a fault at times, but trying to pin every setback on that one characteristic is ludicrous. Look at what Payne has to say. He feels Rovers should have gone on to win the game, and - I have to admit - after the equaliser I was sure we'd get another.
