Thread: perfect storm

    perfect storm

a disinterested owner who paid far too much and now has financial controls at home, a second rate board- williams, hammond garlick- no winning pedigree, pulis staying too long, pardew easy pick but not the man, players who are not here for glory or guts but final pay day, creative midfielders injured, other teams unexpected results.strange selections
Losing too many points from winning position.
Perfect storm- we won't get out- and finally just check this board- there isn't even anger or much enthusiasm or hope.
Need root and branch change for next season.... a board with ambition and pedigree - hungry manager, hungry players- young , keen not old and done it all.
We will need to fight our way out- so let's get the club ready-that's up for the fight from top to bottom

Great post, spot on, but will it happen? Not a hope I'm afraid.

Great post. It’s just been a case of what season it would happen in. Happens to be this one.

A well thought out post summarising why we are in the precarious position that we find ourselves in. My only rervation is that given different circumstances Pardew could do a decent job. I've never been a great fan of his but from what I've seen in his short tenure, I have liked. His biggest problem, in my opinion, is that the players still retain this ingrained concept of defence over attack which will take time to evolve. Unfortunately, time is what we have little of.

The man to do this is the owner...back to square one...it's all roundabouts...no swings at Baggies at the moment.

Could not agree more! As a club we have zero ambition as seen by the January transfer window when more cash came in, than went out! The whole of the Board should be cleared like a stack of cards in my opinion! If we take the drop, you will an exodus of players wanting to leave, thinking they are Premiership class, but in reality, they are the ones who have put the club in this mess. Had we fought like Newcastle today against Southampton, we may have got a result.

Hunger, blood, guts, desire, love the badge, ambition - sadly we have none of these attributes!!!!

PS - the first fecker to want to move will be Livermore as he will be emotionally too tired for the slog of the championship!

Too many off field staff are taking the p iss out of Lai and his clear naivity when it comes to WBA FC and the world of football .

This, imo, is shown in the giving of a 30 month contract to a manager who was unemployed for over a year after the getting the boot after 6 wins in a year.

Add to that the rumoured pay off to pulis, when he should have been put on gardening leave and paid monthly as per his contract, as he was always going to get another job quickly.

Williams, Hammond, Garlick and pr!kdewo (pardew and carver) all not fit for purpose.

Sack the lot and get the Jankovic from fulham.

He's got watford promoted and knows the 2nd tier well.

There are plenty of points to play for and there is always the fulham resurrection under hodgson to cling to a few years ago, but we've not roy, have pr!kdewo.

Whatever division doesn't matter, but the hierarchy of the club does and the lack of advancement at our great club whilst being the only prem club around here is shocking!!!
