you ask the majority of dundee fans their best day of their lives they would mention the "doon derby" which sums them up really. theyve had generations of fans who have known 1 thing and that united are the bigger team.

over 10 years since they even got to a semi-final at hampden.

Sportscene summed it up for me. At the the start of the show when they show highlights of previous Scottish cups it always brings a wee smile when you see Ciftci, Conway, Brewster etc. What Dundee fans get to see? Just more reminders of our great days out. It’s magic you know.

Russell too, Malpas, Goodie, sea of tangerine, makes you beam with pride and all the memories of those days come flooding back, iconic moments

Only hint of fun was Laurie Ellis scoring at Dens in 2010 for Raith (saving the fun a derby defeat at Hampden) and a Gerry Britton wonder goal for Partick also at Dens

This video shows the Dees winning the 'Transformation Cup.' It marks the end of their Major trophy winning history and their relegation from Big Team status, with the rising star of Dundee United Football Club going on the emulate and exceed the successes of Dundee FC.

Sorry to put a dampener on it, but stuff like that for me anyway, only further highlights the current mediocrity that is Dundee United Football Club.

Even still, 109 years ( not forgetting 43, yes, FORTY THREE YEARS) - OYF!!!!
