I am very very happy with the result
Sat on holiday with the family with a cold one in hand
Shame Shrewsbury got a late one too but Wigan are wobbling so who knows maybe just maybe the title race is still on.

I think it makes perfect sense.
    Not at all

Really regretting not beating Oldham though, Shrewsbury not giving up many points..

    Nerves shredded.
Strange game. Both teams went for it. Loads of fouls.
Eight minutes of injury-time wasn't what I needed!

Mowbray went toe to toe against Pompey. That's all we can ask for. Even if we'd lost.

To be honest, Saxo, at times it was like an end-of-season game in terms of structure.
Their guy, Pitman, looks decent, but we generally got someone in the way.
The attempts on goal figures are a bit deceptive because there were lots of early blocks.
At one point, I thought we should have switched to 4-4-2, with Conway on to give us a bit more structure, but we just found enough to edge it.
You know we had that discussion about a target-man - well, it was the kind of game where Nuttall might have done well, because a lot of decent crosses went begging.
We have a hell of a lot of choices in attacking/creative positions now. I do think there will be a game soon where we score four or five.
