We needed a top keeper as much as we needed a good striker. Any goal saved that a lesser keeper would let past him is as good as a strikers goal at the other end.

We’ve nearly 2 weeks till our next game with Bournemouth... Rafa made the decision a good manager should make and rested him to give him that time to make sure he was fully match fit, and didn’t break down and he out for the rest of the season.
We all know Owilfboro would have slaughtered Benitez for leaving Slimani out of we’d lost, but those of use who aren’t f**king idiots appreciate Rafa made the right decision regardless of today’s result.
