    Lewis

New member and first post, my confidence in Lewis over the past month or so has gone completely, his efforts at 2 of the goals yesterday were amateurish at best, he does not have command of the six yard box and makes our defence jittery at best on every ball that's played into the area, crying out for a change of goalkeeper IMO.

Agree but the rumour is that Southampton are paying his wages as long as he is playing, if he's benched Utd need to pay them. Don't know if it's true but would explain why he's undroppable.

I very much doubt if that is true or you would expect all the other loan players to be under the same terms and getting a regular game which they are not, interesting though.

Its standard practise when a team loans out someone who they want game time for.

You pay more if he doesn’t play.

When moneys tight you have to play him.....or don’t take him on loan in the first place.

Absolutely no idea what this has to do with the subject matter but you crack on.

If it is true then it's another ludicrous piece of business. The boy could become an excellent keeper but he is a rookie.
Usually a keeper is in their late twenties before they are fulfilling their potential and Lewis is no Donnarumma.
The lad needs a break and Deniz should get a chance, even if it means losing a bit of money.

To be fair, he started off OK and it seems only latterly that he's gone doonhill a bit, but as is pointed out it's a ridiculous deal to sign up for in the first place. What if he'd been total keech from the word go? You're then forced to play him for the entire season? That's mental.

To be fair for a few moments, the last thing you need when playing a young keeper is a defence that changes every match.
