Not very romantic I know, but I'm learning from the Premier League.....money talks.

Sailing across to Lanzarote, champagne breakfast followed by a late dinner with my lovely wife. Socialism is such a wonderful thing!

1959_60 ---they are all champagne socialists or whatever other party they represent.
I remember the days when it was an honour to serve on the local council and you used to get expenses for doing it.
Just been looking at one council in Lancashire and their figures for 2015-16 (latest available) and the standard payments on there for councillors was over £11000 each ---yes it certainly is an honour to serve on the council --quite lucrative one!
Never mind we can always cut down on services to ensure that the councillors receive their dues from the increased council tax.

All is good though, as long as you enjoy you Valentine's Day!! It is 51 years today since my wife and I first got together ----and we still are!
