    8 in a row...

Should we come away with all three points from Craven Cottage, it will be the first time we have done so since the 1974/75 campaign.

Back then, we finished in our current position of second in the Division Two table – winning promotion to the top flight.

Under the guidance of Ron Saunders, we overcame West Bromwich Albion, Millwall, Cardiff City, Oldham Athletic, Blackpool, Sheffield Wednesday, Sunderland and Norwich City in our final eight games of the season, finishing as runners-up to Manchester United.

Its a big ask and I think the bookies have it an odds on scoring draw!
Winning 8 games on the trot is just unbelievable, The last time was just before my time so it would be a 'First' for me.

Fulham concede too many goals but they also score plenty, we don't concede and score many, I am hoping after the Blouse game, Most of our players will see what this football club is about and push on, with 5000 travelling and getting behind the lads, who knows, This for me is the big acid test.

What was the record Newcastle did last season? I am sure they won 14 on the bounce?

They won 9 in a row. But they had also a few runs in the league too where they won 7 in a row and a few 3 in a rows. We need something like 2 points a game for the remainder of the season to equal last year's runners ups points

And I’ll raise you 3pts. SB said when he joined 15 months ago and has continually repeated it, that over a season 2pts a game should do it. 46 games requiring 92pts.
So 33pts from 45 available, still doable.
We may need more, maybe not so doable.
We may need less, happy days.
The mini season and fun has started, buckle up.
    Onwards & Upwards.
