OT - So What You Did For Your Other Half Today?

Damn these Americans and their consumerism.
Cheap skate tried to avoid all mention of Valentine's, unfortunately my little one came home from school with a rose.
Apparently her teacher thought it good idea for the kids to have 1 for Valentine's.
So there she came in, saying 'Daddy, Daddy Happy Valentine's, are you bringing me and mummy out!

So no choice, a dinner outing was on, fortunately the little one came along, so not too much romantic stuff, else my wife will get 'ideas' later.

So what you did for Valentine's? Any hanky panky planned excepting Roger of course, he's been limp for ages!!
    Hahahahaha.

Nothing different to other days. I hate this Yank BS with a vengeance. Invent a name for a day, make cards, flowers, presents, dinners a part of the day and watch the money roll in.

    No thank you.

Will be greeting Mrs F off her train with some barf-inducing token of love (prob flowers or grog) and cooking her a valentines meal, likely steak - romance isn't dead in the Faber house!

1 down. Several more to go.
Mother's Day, birthdays and the 1 I hope she forgets - the anniversary.
My idea of romance is lazing at home with a drink.
Can't seem to convince the wife it's a great idea.
