I've made my thoughts on Fulham known more than once recently.

When you look at a side and think how many of their current side could make the step up to the PL Fulham are better equipped than any other side in the championship.

It wasn't until yesterday that I realised they had taken Mitrovic on loan from Newcastle. Add him to Sessegnon (best player in the division), Fredericks and Cairney and you've 4 PL quality players straight away.

They will make top 2 in my opinion.

Fully agree that Fulham have probably got the best January signing. And they certainly can play.
However as good as they are going forward, they aren't the best defensively and that's why I rate Villa slightly better than them.

I can't pick who'll finish 2nd but I really don't think it'll be Fulham.
Villa would be the favourite, but I can't write off Cardiff, who make a lot of teams suffer and I'm still convinced Derby have a very good shout, because they seldom lose - a necessity for promotion. If Derby can match Villa's ability to dominate games and Cardiff's penchant for stifling the opposition, they certainly can finish 2nd.

Golden Miller topped them all but you'd need to be a ripe old age to have seen him.

Mill House was the punter's darling before Arkle turned up. As a Derby winner Mill Reef was a superb thoroughbred. So many fine horses.
