What im getting at is he has started games with 6 defenders on the pitch v sevco and the pigs up until recently(including shinnie who is a defender by trade). Even at home he has done it

He doesn't seem to be doing that now. Which seems to have had positive effects

Actually, read the beeb article on the improved results this term. They remark just what Pacman has said. It is a slightly more attacking lineup of players than the heavily defensively stacked team of last year. That small change has made a world of difference.

Regardless. Just enjoy the win. McInnes seems to have finally figured out a way to beat the 2 cheeks and long may it continue.

Im not saying attackers like a five up front jimmy formation. Im saying 5 players that are not defensively minded, like when we were playing six defenders in starting line ups v those c@nts and the other c@nts in the past. Its a better balance

I’m confused. Surely we’ve had the same 5 “defensive”players in all the games and the same 5 attacking players (if you ‘re classing Ferguson as an attacking player.

It’s also arguable that you could also put Shinnie in the attacking group as he spends a lot of time in the attacking part of the field (especially against “lesser” sides.

FFS........how many sides(domestically) have beaten the other ugly cheek on their own patch recently?....admittedly we only drew there last weekend but surely the tail end of last season does not resonate with “for a while”......how long did it take the once michty to finally beat the newer ugly cheek...of which is now a common occurrence ?

Absolutely.

Campbell seems to sit deeper. So far anyway.
Seem to recall him scoring a very long range effort for the reserves against Celtic.

You could also say by that definition that Ball is not a defender, he’s a midfielder.

I think it’s lazy to say Shinnie is a defender.
He’s played probably 99% of our games in midfield and is often our furthest forward player as he runs beyond the striker.

Aye ... pretty sure Ah saw Ball and Lowe gaein the hun defense some grief as weel. It is said 'Attack is the best form of defense' ... Logan (on his game) ... is a nae bad winger fan we play teams less aggressive than the Tims/Huns. but, dare Ah say it? ...
