I'm only winding you up ya ****ebag. I tend to agree with you and RST as well. My opinion won't change on McInnes, I always feel it's a missed opportunity over the years but fair play, we are in another final. We just need to win it now.

I agree with you on that rst.

If we don’t win the league cup next weekend his job will be under no threat from Milne,people just have to accept that.

Basically whether we win or lose next weekend nothing will change so it’s pointless saying it will.

I don’t “hate” McInnes, far from it.
I think he has a genuine affection for the club now.

For the record, I don’t think he should be sacked.
For starters there are no obvious replacements

But I’d like his teams to be more arrack-minded & less respectful of the opposition.

But that’s his pragmatic style & he’ll say that it’s got him relative success.

Irrespective of what anyone here says, DM will be in place with a clean slate for 19/20 as far as Milne is concerned.

If we’re still struggling in 6th, 7th, 8th or whatever in Nov 19 then he might be in trouble.

I would sack him with immediate effect. No mucking about as he has not learned from previous failings. He is leading us into a cup final with absolutely no chance of winning the trophy. We will put up a similar performance to the last league cup final against Celtic.

But he is leading us to a cup final so as long as he is doing that you have no chance of getting rid of him. I don’t want him sacked as i don’t think there is anybody better out there at the moment that would get enough out of his group of players to do any better. Maybe i stick up for him a bit more as i had been to 2 cup finals in my lifetime up until he took over and next week will be 4th in 4 years. He has got some major flaws in signing policies and the tombola but is it his or the clubs signing policy to raid lower english leagues? No manager since Ebbe has really went oversees (apart from JC in Dutch market) and that largely failed maybe Zero, Kjaer and Stavrum stood out. I think if we were to get rid we will take a huge step back

Anyone thinking McInnes is going to get sacked in the near future has totally lost the plot. Pa Broon delivered 3 8th finishes in a row before we very reluctantly sacked him, even then offering him a place on the board to soften the blow.

McInnes's past record in the league and cups, the fact that he turned down two bigger jobs, the fact that he's rightly regarded as having done a great job in reforming the way the club is run generally, the fact that he's liked and respected by the board will all make the board inclined to persevere with him even if we have a couple of bad seasons. And top six and a cup final would not be regarded as a particularly bad season.

People can want McInnes sacked all they like, but barring at least 2 and probably more very bad seasons in a row, it's not happening.
