Suppose dereks stats from Bristol City are amazing so much so there’s a line of clubs thinking he’s the only bloke who could have won one cup for us and he must be the next big thing.

    26% win rate fantastic

McInnes has won the same as Danny Lennon & less than John Hughes.

See this is why we wont ever challenge Celtic or be any good in Europe.

Broons faith in Clangers is weaker than the loyalty here for sh*te.

Nothing to look forward to here then.

    Cool.

so why suggest 2 managers who at the very least are equally as shyte? By some of your reckoning we should go for yogi next because he's won more than Mcinnes? and certainly more than the other 2 quoted.

Great lets take one of them on as our manager because they haven't signed Ricky Foster

What success? Steve Evans had a huge budget in League 2 to get Rotherham into the championship and Uwe Rosler has been sacked at every club he has been at since Brentford.

Rosler just got sacked from Fleetwood, your ambition is for us to win the league and you think a guy who couldn't cut it at Fleetwood is the man to do that.

    Agreed.
If we were truly ambitious (within our potential budget), Id like to see if Potter / Reid could be tempted.
They have done a great job on a very little budget.
Not won the league yet mind you, but still truly amazing how they have turned around their club

As a newbie I'm not picking on you Mason, but I think I replied to you before that Hughes has not won more than McInnes, both have one major trophy as a manager (and one lower league title if you count diddy trophies).

I'm not saying McInnes doesn't have faults because for sure he does and there are other good managers out there but John Hughes?????

On winning the league there is one major point being overlooked here, which is Celtic themselves.

Even if we had taken what we should realistically expect to get from six Celtic/Sevco games (say two wins, one draw and three defeats) and so would have 7 more points I honestly believe that if Celtic thought there was the slightest chance of them not winning the title then (a) they would have strengthened more than they did in January and (b) they would have been more focussed in winning the games that they dropped points in (look what they did at Ibrox and to a lesser extent Pittodrie recently when they really had to).

For sure we have been criminal in the six games this season and must expect to do better but in reality we are not winning the league when Celtic have the spending power that they do. What we could and should have been though is much more comfortable in second and more importantly having some degree of confidence in getting a result at Hampden in the final assuming we get there.
