Any update on Joe Lewis’s recovery?
Woodman looked hesitant and indecisive again yesterday, and the defence looks like it has no confidence in him.
It should have been a backup to Rogers we should have signed and not a replacement for Lewis, surely Rogers has served a decent enough apprenticeship when he was loaned out.
Seems Mcinnes has no trust in any of the young lads and is quite happy to pluck obscure players from the mediocrity of the English leagues.
Not sure you can say Woodman was plucked from obscurity but he's been rank. Maybe not all his fault, we need a keeper the defence has confidence in and they know well.
Lewis has been a fantastic find but otherwise Mcinnes has a shocking record of finding keepers.
Should maybe have said "relative obscurity" he wasnt that great when he was on loan to Killie and then he headed back to Newcastle for a seat on the bench, he then comes up here and stright away hes first choice keeper and another one of Mcinnes favourites who wont be dropped.
Woodman totally changes the way we play our game. Instead of playing from the back, woodman always kicks bypassing our midfield which end up looking for scraps on the 2nd ball. He also takes for ever to kick, slowing the tempo of the game right down.
Woodman is Langfield like in sticking to his line putting more pressure on our backs plus he doesn't shout or organise.
In truth I can see very little positive about him and if I were Rodgers I'd be pretty p!ssed off.
Lewis says he should be back end of the month. Please hurry joe
Woodman's kicking is atrocious. He does not command his penalty box, does not communicate with his defenders, stays rooted to his goal line and rarely catches the ball. All sounds very familiar but hey even Clangers got a Scotland call up at some point. Rodgers must be really honking in training if he is not even getting a chance to prove himself in the face of such mediocrity.
