Why are Evans and Barry any different?
As i said earlier, Pardew is weak for letting it happen and weaker for selecting them. Personally i wouldn't have let them anywhere near an Albion shirt again.
Player power at this club has been there since Pepe Mel, and it's still there.
Write this season off and have a major cull from top to bottom.

100% correct. In a previous company, there were a number of us, who used to go overseas and the ruling was - on or off duty, if you get drunk and any incident reflects on the brand name, then you are out! Whoever drove that taxi no doubt, was way over the limit, so that could have been another Lee Hughes incident in the making.

The dressing room was controlled under Pepe Mel, and it's not really changed, with embarrassments such as Odemwingie, Berahino and the latest disgrace. Pardew was weak fielding these players in a match where it would have been easy to make a proper statement and give Field and another one a chance.

The real cup game is against Huddersfield, and no doubt, Evans will get the captains arm band back.

The biggest issue for me, is Albion being Albion, the club won't act until relegation is almost for certain, which could be very close with anything less than 3 points on Saturday. Just can't see Pardew getting another win let alone 6 of them! Players don't seem to want it enough........

I'm just very surprised that these 2 senior professionals would actually put themselves and their team-mates (Myhill & Livermore) in such a situation. At what point wouldn't they have said "Hang on a bit". To make such career-threatening errors of judgement they must surely have been out of their brains on something.

(Same for M&L, really, but I don't include them as Senior Pros.)
